Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear for my session?
For Infrared Saunas and Contrast Therapy, most clients wear swimwear or lightweight gym shorts. In our Private Suites, you are welcome to wear whatever makes you most comfortable. For Compression Therapy, please wear comfortable gym leggings or shorts, as the boots are worn over your clothing.
Is Infrared Sauna therapy different from a traditional sauna?
Yes. Traditional saunas use steam or hot coals to heat the air around you to very high temperatures. Infrared saunas use light to heat your body directly. This allows for a more comfortable breathing environment while providing a deeper, more effective cellular sweat at a lower ambient temperature.
How often should I use these recovery services?
While a single session provides immediate relief, the greatest benefits come from consistency. Most of our members find that 2–3 sessions per week are ideal for managing inflammation and maintaining mental clarity. However, daily use is safe and highly effective for those in intense training blocks or high-stress periods.
Can I use the services if I have an injury?
In most cases, yes! Compression and EMS are world-class tools for rehabilitation. However, if you have an acute injury, a cardiac condition, or are pregnant, we recommend a quick chat with your GP before your first visit. Any fresh cuts, grazes will not be allowed to utilise most of our services. Our team is also happy to discuss which modality is best suited to your specific recovery needs.
I’ve never done a cold plunge before. How long do I stay in?
You don't need to stay in for long to see results! Research shows that just 2 to 5 minutes at 8–12°C is enough to trigger the full metabolic and hormonal benefits. Our staff are on hand to coach you through the breathing techniques to make your first plunge a success.
Do I need to book in advance?
To ensure your Private Suite or Compression Lounge chair is ready for you, we highly recommend booking via our website or app. This ensures there is no wait time and your suite is pre-heated (or cooled) to the perfect temperature for your arrival.
